Good: Hotel Tequendama is a unique institution in Bogotá, looking back to more than 70 years, and has been the site of historical events several times. It still conserves the tradition of high-end hospitality of those times, making a stay at this hotel a very special experience.

The location within the Centro Internacional, at the intersection of the main north-south (Cra. Septima) and east-west (Avenida Eldorado) thoroughfares, close to the Transmilenio hub Museo Nacional, is optimal. Moreover, it offers great views towards the Cerros Orientales, with the Monserrate and Guadelupe landmarks.

Bad: With an existence of 70 years, the facilities are partially outdated. E.g., a single elevator serves the 17 storeys of the hotel, bathroom fittings are oldfashioned, e.g., bathtubs (yacuzzis) instead of shower cabins, separate taps for hot and cold water, furniture and carpets need renovation or replacement.

The hotel offers a hybrid of breakfast and lunch buffets. While that it is perfect for lunch, the choices for breakfast are limited.
