Bastion Luxury Hotel in Cartagena

Everything about this hotel is superb.
The location in the Historical Centre of the city means that most attractions are a mere stroll away. The rooftop bar and pool are amazing but add to this a panoramic view of the whole city and surroundings makes it very special.
The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. Of special note is Jorge at the pool bar, he even teaches a little Spanish while you are there!
The rooms, colonial in style, are all equipped with air conditioning (it gets very warm in the city!) they are spacious and immaculate.
We had breakfast every day we were there and there is a great choice of items. We also had dinner on two evenings which were really good, again a varied menu.
We stayed for four nights in total, prior to a cruise. It was, without a doubt, together with all Cartagena has to offer, the highlight of our vacation.

The hotel is gorgeous, excellently maintained and decorated. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The front desk manager Jorge was very helpful setting up a luxury trip to the small island of Sabai off the Islas de Baru. The restaurant staff learned about my mom’s birthday and Gina led the way in organizing a celebration with balloons and cake! This is a trip we’ll never forget not only because of the beautiful amenities but also because of the dedication of the staff. Can’t forget to mention the server on the rooftop pool, he pampered us like we were royalty. Without any reservations I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to experience a luxury warm experience.
